Logistics & Technical Services
In Logistics, we supply all departments with the requisite (raw) materials, operating resources and packaging materials. We are also responsible for their proper disposal and warehouse management.
Technical Services is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of technical equipment. Other areas of activity include electrical engineering, water supply, cooling and heat insulation, compressed air, and building technology.
Special Production & Equipment Manufacture
In Special Production, we are responsible for the assembly and packaging of our innovative “Icon” product and the filling of various chemical materials into capsules. In addition, we take care of the functional testing and servicing of our 3D printers and of the equipment used for mixing our impression materials.

How and when did you join DMG?
I started at DMG in October 2021. My interest in chemical materials led me here. I was a dental assistant before, but I made a conscious decision to go into production. I have known some employees since I was little, as my mother has worked at DMG for around 20 years and is also friends with some of my colleagues.
What do you like about DMG?
My colleagues are already beginning to feel like family. And that is something that really matters to me. It’s the team mindset and friendly atmosphere throughout the company that motivate me to stay at DMG – along with the regular working hours and 30 days' annual leave entitlement.
What do you enjoy about your job?
I'm someone who likes to give their all and is interested in learning new things. I plan to “work my way up”, as there are plenty of opportunities for progression here.

How and when did you join DMG?
I came to DMG through a temp agency. I didn't actually want a permanent job; I wanted to earn money to get my apprenticeship accredited in Germany. I've now been a permanent employee at DMG for four years but I haven't lost sight of this goal.
What benefits are most important to you?
Fixed working hours, free weekends and lots of annual leave are all main reasons for me to stay. We have a lot of people from different backgrounds working in our department. It’s especially great at break time to hear all the different languages, like Turkish and Spanish, being spoken.

How long have you been at DMG and what do you do here?
I joined DMG four years ago through someone I know and I work at various stations and machines in Central Filling.
What do you like about working here?
Having a good work-life balance is something that's important to me, as I enjoy spending time with my family. DMG has set working hours; shift work and Saturday work only happen in exceptional cases. I also have 30 days annual leave, which means I have a good balance between work and family life.

What path has your career taken at DMG?
I just celebrated my 30th anniversary. I used to work in catering and hospitality, and practically worked seven days a week; I hardly had a private life. So I wanted to get out of the industry. Someone I knew was working at DMG at that time and told me I should apply for a job. I did, and half an hour later I was in the HR office discussing my contract. The next day I started in Paste Production, where I stayed for about a year and a half. Then I was asked to help out in Powder Production for just two weeks. I've been working there ever since.
Having been with the company for such a long time, how do you feel about the work?
I still enjoy the work, it's varied, we have new products coming in regularly that we work with, and my colleagues and I work closely as a team to figure out improvements and find solutions to new challenges. It's important to me that I give my best, as my employer also gives me a lot. It's all about giving and receiving. I'm due to retire in ten years' time, health permitting. My plan is to stay at DMG until then. This is more or less my home away from home; I spend most of my time here. So it's all the more important to look after my colleagues as well, to stick together and support each other. We try to welcome everyone with open arms and encourage everyone to have a laugh and a joke with us.

What was your first experience with DMG like?
I wanted to apply to DMG online, but somehow it wouldn't work for me. So I called the Recruitment Department. The recruiter and I spoke for more than half an hour and the process just continued from there.
What do you particularly like about DMG?
I have been at DMG since 1 October 2021. I had already been involved in preparing materials in my previous job, but I still didn't know exactly what to expect at the start. My colleagues were great at helping me learn the ropes and at supporting me. I now know my job inside out and would like to stay in it until I retire. I worked in the continuous shift working system for over 14 years; I really like the fact that I now usually only have one early shift at DMG. Another great thing is the “short Friday” concept, which simply extends the weekend. I also like that the Management sometimes treats us to breakfast, and that there's cake for the company president's birthday, etc. That's something I had never come across before.
