If you wish to visit our website, we will only collect data necessary to display our website and ensure its stability and security (the legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) S. 1 lit. f of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)):

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on our website, please be advised that any data entered into the newsletter registration screen will be used exclusively for the purpose of directing our newsletter, which contains information on all of our services. We use your personal data such as your name, address, telephone number, email address or signature (collected, for example, through forms on this website, or your digital signature through a visit by our external sales team) solely for the intended purpose (e.g. to process your enquiry). We need your explicit consent to send you our newsletter. This consent can be revoked at any time. Once your registration is complete, we will send you a confirmation email containing a link you must click on to finalise the order (‘double opt-in’). The registration may be undone at any time by clicking on the ‘Unsubscribe’ link. If, for example, you have asked us for information on products or services, we will use your data to provide you with the relevant information. To this end it may be necessary for DMG to forward your data to affiliated companies as well as partner companies for the fulfillment of contracts. Rights of Persons Affected

You are entitled to invoke the following rights of persons affected with regard to personal data relating to you at any time and free of cost:

  • The right of access.
  • The right to rectification or erasure.
  • The right to restriction of processing.       
  • The right to object to processing.       
  • The right to data portability.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority regarding our handling of your personal data. This data protection declaration is continually adapted and further developed in line with the development of data protection and security technology. As such, we reserve the right to change or supplement this notice if need be.

Processing of job applicant data

Data required for establishing contact and for the purposes of the application process will be collected and stored in compliance with the data protection regulations. The legal basis for this is our pre-contractual relationship and the data required for carrying out the application process pursuant to Art. 6 (1)(2) GDPR and Section 26 (1) in conjunction with para. 8 (2) of the BDSG (German Federal Data Protection Act). 

If their application is rejected, applicants’ data will in any case be stored for evidence purposes for up to six months after the end of the application process for the purpose of asserting, exercising or defending legal claims. The legal basis for this is Art 6 (1)(1)(f) GDPR. If you have consented to further storage of your personal data, we will store your data in our applicant pool until you revoke this consent. The legal basis for this is Art 6 (1)(1)(a) GDPR. In any case, the data will be erased after one year unless you revoke your consent beforehand. If you have been offered a position during the application process, the data from the applicant data system will be transferred to our HR management system. Information on the storage period can be found in the data protection information for our employees.

The provision of the data is not required by law or contractually prescribed. You are not obligated to provide the data. However, if the data are not provided, this will make carrying out the application process and, if applicable, recruitment, impossible.

Processing of customer data

In the context of processing customer data, we collect and store data to the extent necessary for the intended purpose (e.g. first and last name, postal address, email address, telephone number/fax number, goods ordered/service provided, customer enquiry information and date of enquiry).
 
We process this data (with the exception of your IP address) for the fulfilment and processing of contracts with you (including payment processing), customer enquiries and for our own advertising purposes in accordance with the applicable privacy regulations.
 
The legal basis for the processing of customer data is Art. 6 (1)(b)(c) and (f) GDPR. Your data is deleted once it is no longer required for its intended purpose as far as this does not conflict with statutory retention requirements (especially the HGB/German Commercial Code and AO/German Tax Code requirements).

Conditions of participation for online seminars

I. Registration

You must register online if you wish to take part in an online seminar.

Your registration is binding. unless we reject your registration in writing within seven days – for example, because the online seminar is already fully booked.

Registration deadline: Please register no later than one day before the online seminar. 

II. Services

By way of your binding registration, you secure your participation in the online seminar of your choice.

Participation fee: The prices for the event in question can be found directly in the description of the individual dates.

IV. Withdrawal and refund

All registrations for a paid online seminar are binding. If you are unable to attend at short notice, the following cancellation conditions apply:

Withdrawal up to two weeks before the online seminar:
If you withdraw from your binding registration up to two weeks before the online seminar, we will refund 50% of the participation fee.

Refund thereafter, or in the event of non-participation:
If you withdraw from your binding registration after the two-week deadline before the online seminar, unfortunately we cannot refund any fee. The same applies to non-participation.

Cancellations
Please inform us of your cancellation in writing – by clicking on Cancel in the confirmation email. Confirmation of the cancellation will then be sent automatically by email.

Change to / cancellation of the online seminar
We can cancel the online seminar if there is due cause for doing so (for example, if speakers are unable to attend). In this case, we will inform you as soon as possible and refund the full participation fee. Further claims are excluded if we have not acted with intent or gross negligence.

We also reserve the right to change the programme – both in terms of content and timing – if due cause exists (for example, if speakers cancel or do not appear on time).

V. Data Protection

Data protection is of utmost importance to us. We do not share your data with third parties and we comply with the current version of the German Federal Data Protection Act, as well as the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

We process your personal data for the purpose of providing our contractual service of holding the online webinar. We also use your email address to keep you informed about upcoming offers and services. You can revoke this use at any time if you do not wish to receive this information. In all other respects, our data protection provisions apply, details of which can be found here.

Anonymity and automatically registered information

You may, generally speaking, access DMG websites without providing any personal data. Your visits to our websites are logged. In this case, only the following data is registered: the IP address currently used by the computer, the name of the site accessed, the time and date of access, the volume of data transmitted, notification of whether access was successful, a description of the type of web browser used, the operating system used, the internet browser used, the number of visits, the average time spent on site, pages accessed.

Generally speaking, it is not possible for us to link this data to individuals, i.e. this data cannot be used to form personal user profiles. The information stored is used to determine the attractiveness of DMG websites and optimise their content.

These websites use plug-ins produced by the social network Instagram. These functions are provided by Instagram Inc., 1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, CA, 94025, USA. If you are logged into your Instagram account you can link content from our pages to your Instagram by clicking on the Instagram button. Instagram can therefore match visits to our sites to your user account. We, the operator of these sites, do not receive any information with regard to the content of the data transmitted and its usage by Instagram.

DMG is not informed of the content of the data transmitted nor of the usage this data by Twitter. Pinterest

This website uses plug-ins produced by the social network Pinterest, operated by Pinterest Inc., 635 High Street, Palo Alto, CA, 94301, USA (“Pinterest”). If you access a page that contains any such plug-in, your browser will establish a direct connection to Pinterest’s servers. In doing so, the plug-in transmits log data to Pinterest’s server in the USA. The log data may contain your IP address, the address of the website visited containing Pinterest functions, your browser type and settings, the time and date of request, the way you use Pinterest and cookies.

These websites use plug-ins produced by the social network XING.com. These components are provided by XING AG, Dammtorstraße 29-32, 20354 Hamburg, Germany. Each time you access our website (which is equipped with these components), the components instruct your browser to download a corresponding representation of the XING components.

To our knowledge, XING does not store any of our users’ personal data. XING does not save any IP addresses either. Likewise, the use of cookies in connection with the XING share button does not facilitate any analysis of user behavior. YouTube

These websites use components (videos) produced by the company YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a Google Inc. company, Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Here we use the privacy enhanced mode option provided by YouTube. When you visit a page that contains an embedded video, a connection is made to YouTube’s web servers, which then instruct your browser to display the content on the webpage.

According to YouTube, in ‘Privacy-Enhanced Mode’ data (specifically which of our webpages you have visited) is only transmitted to YouTube’s server if you watch the video.
